ABOUT THE BRAND
‘Jacquelyn Smith Textiles’ is the creation of textile artist Jacquelyn Smith. Jacquelyn, a lifelong lover of all art with a need to create beauty, found her niche working with fabrics and thread. She focuses on simple forms and natural elements in design using linen fabrics as her canvas. All of her work is original and based off of her unique sketches.
THE DESIGN SERVICES
We worked with Jacquelyn to give her a full brand package and a fully custom website. She wanted her branding to give the feeling that you were looking through her sketchbook - worn pages, smudged inks, random notes written over time, pops of color, unique elements ect. She wanted earthy organic colors, and for the viewer to feel that they are interacting with her, the artist, in every interaction. We kept this same feeling as we created her website by giving it a very organic, free flowing layout. When you visit her website, you feel that you stepped into her studio and had an conversation with her while browsing her art.
THE RESULTS
A website that houses her beautiful tapestries and doubles as an online space she can use to welcome her collectors into - as if they stepped into her home studio in Atlanta. A brand that feels completely unique to the artist. A beautiful mix of earthy colors with unexpected pops of red and vintage golds. A fun blend of script and traditional fonts to keep the viewer interested and to allow Jacquelyn the creative freedom that every artist craves in their branding!
